Hey Everybody!

I hope this finds you well. I’m almost ready to come out of my moving-five-hundred-miles-renting-then-buying-a-new-house-in-a-new-town hiatus. We are getting settled into our new house and after moving twice in the last 6 months I can say that we’re both really excited to put some roots down here in Nashville. I’ll be posting and emailing more regularly soon, but for now I’m just trying to let you all know when I’m coming out to do shows.

This week I’m coming back to Missouri again. I’m excited to be playing in Warrensburg, Maryville, Columbia and St. Louis (Maplewood) this week.

My schedule is as follows:

Wednesday April 6th I’ll be at The Garage on Pine Street in Warrensburg, it’s UCM Greek Week, it’s Wednesday with killer specials what else could you ask for?

Friday April 7th I’ll be at The Pub in Maryville. Last time I was up there was off the charts. They’ll be serving cold $4 Forty Ounce Beers and I’ll be singing your favorite tunes. Come on out Maryville!

Saturday April 8th back at Shiloh in Columbia Missouri. One of the first bars I ever played at way back in the 90′s and I love coming back to my second “home” in Columbia. I’ll be starting around 9:00, it’ll be packed, so get there early, grab a good seat and we’ll have a time.

Sunday April 9th I’ll be playing at the Red Lion in Maplewood. Thanks to my friend Phil Stendek from St. Louis for helping me land this gig. It’s my first time playing here, I know it’s a Sunday, but I’ll be playing early, starting at 7:00 for a couple of hours. It’s been about a year since the last time I was in The Lou. Come on and help me make this place a regular stop on my bi-monthly homecoming trips, won’t ya?

Wednesday April 13th I’ll be at The Bunganut Pig in Franklin, TN. This place totally rules, I’m playing on the patio from 6-9. Come hang with me and enjoy some din din and drinkie drinks

Saturday April 16th I’m back at Micki’s on Main in Bowling Green, Ky. This will be my 3rd show here and every time keeps getting more fun. I dig this place and I’m always glad to see so many new “regulars” coming out. Thanks for the love Kentucky, let’s keep it coming.

Sunday April 17th. I’ll be doing a writer’s round at The Listening Room here in Nashville, Tn. with a new friend of mine down here named Lisa Mowry. She’s an amazing singer-songwriter, and The Listening Room is one of my favorite places to play and see shows here in town.

That’s all I got for now, I’m going to get back to unpacking boxes, hanging blinds, meeting new neighbors, and oh yeah, writing songs.

Friend me on facebook, Follow me on twitter, and find me at your favorite bar.

Thanks for supporting my career, I couldn’t do this without ya.

Hi there friends!

It’s been a while, yes I know. I haven’t been doing the “full load” of shows that I have done lo these many years, and I’ve also been a little reclusive here on the intertubes. I’m well aware of that and I’ll be easing back into the full swing of things as I continue to “settle in” here in my new hometown.

The reason I’m writing/posting this blog and sending this newsletter today is to let all of my friends back home in Warrensburg, Maryville and Columbia, Missouri that I’ll be coming home to do some shows this week.

*Wednesday Feb 9th I’ll be at the Garage on Pine St. in Warrensburg. Come on out and enjoy $3 22 oz wells and $3 bombs while you listen to me rock your socks off.

*Thursday I’ll be catching up with my dad and my sister, after I finally buy my verizon I-phone, yes I know it’s only a 3G network, what can I tell you, I’m an apple fan boy and this will complete my collection.

*Friday, Feb 11 I’ll be back in Maryville at The Pub. Get there early if you wanna seat. At this point I’ll be looping you like crazy while you’re drinking $4 40′s. That’s right beer in a bag, do it to it.

*Saturday, Feb 12 I head back to my alma mater, that’s right I’ll be at Shiloh in Columbia, Missouri for the first time in a long time. Rock and roll kids, rock and roll.

I’ve got a few other dates up on the website, check it out, I’ll be adding more dates as we go along.

If you’re still reading this, then I’ll tell you what I’ve been up to. I’m continuing to book new shows in new towns. Hello to some new email list subscribers in Bowling Green, KY! My first show was a blast there, I’m coming back in March to do it again. I’ve also got some shows lined up in Franklin, TN. and I’m working on more cities in the Southeast, it’s getting good!

I’m writing songs every day here in Nashville, some by myself some with other people. I feel incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to live in a town with so much energy and passion for music. Not only am I writing, but I’m taking a songwriting class at Vanderbilt as well. Things are moving along quite nicely. I’ve got a handful of tunes that I’m planning on recording for a new EP, but time is scarce, so while I’m hoping for a late summer release, we’ll have to wait and see.

To my old friends, thanks for hanging with me, to my new friends, welcome, thanks for allowing me to make a living doing something I truly love.

See ya’ll out there be good!

Hey Guys! I hope life is treating you well. It’s raining cats and dogs here in Nashville and after looking at Facebook it looks like it’s snowing back home in the KC area. Yowza. The good news is, it’s going to be sunny tomorrow, which is fantastic because I’ve got a long drive baby! Here’s the skinny on this week/weekend in my home state of Missouri.

Wednesday Dec. 1: I’ll be playing at The Garage on Pine St. in Warrensburg on Wednesday night starting at 9:30. This will be my first time in the Burg since I moved down here 2 months ago. The Garage is brand new and I can’t wait to loop it properly. They have some insane drink specials on “Get Railed Wednesdays”. $3 22oz wells (Rails) and $3 bombs. Yikes, come get ugly with me.

As of right now I’m off on Thursday, if you want to pay me to come serenade you or come sing at your bar message me or email me here, otherwise I’ll be catching up on Survivor on my sista’s couch.

Friday Dec. 3: This is going to be a big weekend in Maryville. Not only because I’ll be playing at my favorite bar in Bearcatville, but also because there is an interstate playoff game between NWMSU and UCM. That’s a lot of letters and a lot of rivalry. So all you Bearcat and Mule students and alum come party with me at the Pub on Friday night. They will be serving $4 Forties, that’s right folks, I’ll be drinking beer out of a bag. It’s the only way to prep for the big game. Come see me at The Pub bitches! The big rock show will start at about 10:00.

Saturday Morning Dec. 4: I will be limiting my 40 oz. indulgences because at 11:00 am I’ll be performing at the Bearcat Zone at the campus Ampitheatre behind the stadium. I’ll be playing until about 12:00-12:30 then the Bearcat Marching Band will take over and lead you all down to the stadium for the skirmish. Bring me some hot chocolate please. Note to self, buy fingerless gloves before I hit the road.

Saturday Night Dec. 4: St. Joe where you at! I’ll be at the Hi Ho Bar in St. Joe on Saturday. One of my favorite spots in town, the shows here can go in any number of directions, for some reason they like to drag a lot of improv out of me at the Hi Ho. So come early and get a good seat and we’ll get loopy together. The loopiness will start around 9:00, see you then!

If you’d like to read a little about my Nashville experience thus far, read on, otherwise I’ll see you out there! Things have been great down here. Nashville is easily the most inspiring place that I’ve ever been to. It’s got the energy of New York City with the size and friendliness of Small Town USA. I have been writing a bunch of songs and I’ll start recording a new cd here shortly. I’ve had some friends down here pointing me in some great directions musically and on day to day life stuff. The wife and pups are adjusting well. Our rental house was a little disappointing at first because for the first two weeks that we moved in we had no heat or air conditioning. It wasn’t a huge deal because it got fixed and the temps at the beginning of October were pretty mild, but I’m used to climate control baby, so it was a little rocky. On the upside the house is located in one of the most sought after areas in Nashville called Belle Meade. I think Oprah has a house here and I heard Al Gore has a house here, I think he might have invented the interwebs here, awesome. I always tell my friends that I am seriously bringing down the property value in this neighborhood. We’re less than a 1/2 mile to Percy Warner park, which is a park that is over 850 acres big with miles and miles of walking/hiking/biking trails. We take the dogs there everyday and we feel super blessed to be “camping out” in this neighborhood while we look for a house to buy.

I’ve gotten to see some amazing shows as well. Every night there are several songwriter nights in town and every time I go to them I am blown away and humbled by the incredible amount of talent in this town. I am convinced that this is the best place on earth for me to develop as a writer and musician. I’m beginning to write with other people which is exciting for me, co-writing is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time and again it will help me grow and push myself musically and lyrically.

On a final note I have been invited to do a couple of “Songwriter Rounds.” Basically a songwriter round is when usually 3 or 4 writers share a stage and take turns playing songs that they have written or co-written. It’s a nice change of pace to play for a room that is listening to original music and I’m excited to be at the Listening Room on Sunday Dec. 12 and Sunday Jan. 9th. If you happen to be in town come on by I’ll be playing in the group at 6:00 both nights. Thanks for your support and for following me on this journey! Have fantastic day and I’ll see you, I mean y’all, I’ll see y’all soon, Ryan

Hey guys, remember me? My name is Ryan Imming, I’m that one-man-band guy that goes by RPI. It’s been a while since I’ve written you all to tell you about my adventures, but I’ve got a pretty good reason. I’m happy to be posting this from my new home in Nashville, TN! My wife and I decided several years ago that this is where we wanted to be. Finally the stars lined up and the time was right. We put our house in KC on the market back in July and it sold 3 times. Luckily the third time stuck and we moved down to Nashville about 10 days ago. This will officially end my “internet radio silence.” I hadn’t mentioned anything about my move because of the fact that in this economy I didn’t know if or when our house would sell, so for the last few months I’ve been laying low and playing my shows and going about my business. All of the work incorporated with selling our house and moving took up all of my “internet marketing” time, so I apologize for falling off the map for a short while.

Just to let you all know, I will be coming back to the Midwest to do shows from time to time, but from now on I will be primarily performing in the Southeast. All of my contact info. will remain the same, so please don’t be a stranger. I’ve loved playing in and around Missouri, Iowa, Kansas and Illinois and now I’m looking forward to expanding my base to Mississippi, Kentucky, Alabama, Indiana, Georgia, the Carolina’s, Florida and of course Tennessee. I’m working with a great booking agent down here who is helping me establish myself in these new markets, but if you know of any places that you think I should be playing please email the name of the venue and any contact info. you may have to my email address: ryan@rpimusic.com.

I will be writing and recording everyday down here and I’ll keep you all posted on my progress. Thanks so much for your continued support and I hope to see you out there in the not too distant future. If you’re not my friend on facebook, what the hell are you waiting for?

Hey Guys!

I’ve been out for a while, the wife and I took a few days off last week, then I came down with a nasty little sinus infection. The good news is I’m well on the road to recovery, but since I haven’t updated the tourdates page on my site I just wanted to let you know about the shows I’ve got coming up in the next couple of weeks.

Tonight, Thursday April 29 I’ll be at the Granfalloon on the Plaza in KC. The show starts around 10.

Saturday, May 1 I’ll be at Shiloh in Columbia. The show starts at 9.

Wednesday, May 5, I’ll be at Fitter’s in Warrensburg. Again the show will start at 10.

Thursday, May 6th, I’ll be at Sol Cantina in KC for a happy hour show starting at 6:30.

That does it for now. I’m working on getting my summer schedule set in stone and I’ll let you know when and where I’m going to be soon.

Thanks for the love, see you out there,
